Your trusted partner for nanoparticle development: Why Nano Hybrids is ready for Investment
Abstract
Nano Hybrids develops high-quality metal-based nanoparticles to support your innovation. With solid validation from our current pilots, we're busy preparing for an upcoming round late 2026. Nano Hybrids stands out from the competition with its unique properties: Our solvent-free production process leads to high-purity nanoparticles and smaller environmental impact compared to conventional methods. Here is why Nano Hybrids is structurally ready for a Pre-Seed investment.
1. The Technology
Nano Hybrids stands out from the competition with its unique properties: Their solvent-free production process leads to high-purity nanoparticles and smaller environmental impact compared to conventional methods. Additional benefits include: Ease of use increases operational efficiency and streamlines production processes; Automated production removes the need for an operator during production; Versatile nanoparticle formulation enables surface properties to be adjusted to end-user needs; Closed-system design improves safety; Advanced nanoparticle architecture (core-shell) provides added features like enhanced electrical conductivity, and further improves performances in the right use-cases.
2. De-Risked Technology with "Non-Dilutive" Validation
The company has already secured >€800,000 in non-dilutive instruments. This money has been used to support early technical validation (TRL4/5) in various use-cases including: Iron, ZInc, Nickel and Silver nanoparticles. Funding now would primarily support hiring nanoparticle specialists that can scale our patented technology.
3. Clear Commercial Verticals
- Gas Sensing: Nano Hybrids has active pilots in gas-sensing use cases with a clear path to commercialisation.
- Biotechnology & Biomedicine: Tailored core-shell particles are essential for diagnostic imaging, biosensors, and advanced drug-delivery systems where absolute chemical purity is paramount. Nano Hybrids has begun early PoC’s with several academic partners.
4. Strong Founding Team
- Dr. Olivier Lugier (CEO & Co-Founder): has expertise in the design, characterization and integration of advanced materials from his PhD at the Advanced Research Center for Nanolithography (ARCNL). His postdoctoral projects focused on the development of sensors for various applications and was involved with the development of the technology central to Nano Hybrids. Dr. Lugier switched his focus to entrepreneurship by participating in multiple incubator programs and learning from mentors and coaches before leading Nano Hybrids since its inception. He raised more than €300,000 funding via dilutive and non-dilutive instruments to develop the technology and grow the project.
- Aumar Mustafa, MSc (CCO): injects institutional corporate finance and consulting expertise into the company. Having previously helped secure over €300M in competitive Dutch and European grants (including the EU’s Innovation Fund), he provides the commercial architecture required to scale corporate partnerships.
- Dr. Ştefania Grecea (Co-Founder & Scientific Advisor): Dr. Ştefania Grecea has deep expertise in the synthetic design and characterisation of inorganic and hybrid inorganic-organic materials and long-term experience in the participation and coordination of research projects. She obtained several research grants awarded by Romanian National Research Council, European Science Foundation, the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research, Innovation Exchange Amsterdam, and more. She has been a member of the multiple European networks and consortia related to materials and sensing research. Dr. Grecea has published ca. 100 articles in peer-reviewed journals, two book chapters and was guest editor for the RSC journal Molecular Systems Design & Engineering, coordinating a special issue on Engineering Molecular Materials for Sensing Applications.
- Specialized R&D Support: Flanked by Maryam Sadeqi (R&D Lead) and Wessel Garsten (Lab Technician), the technical roadmap is fully staffed to oversee the production of nanoparticles, improve production via optimisation of the machine or of the synthesis process with two main goals, namely better yield and higher quality nanoparticles.
Why Pre-Seed/Seed Investors Should Act Now
Our core-shell nanoparticle technology is what separates Nano Hybrids from other competitors. The Pre-Seed stage is all about catching a highly scalable technology exactly as it transitions from a validated lab prototype to a market-ready machine. A Pre-Seed round will allow Nano Hybrids to scale production, take on more commercial opportunities, and accelerate business development in European high-tech sectors.
